Australia is expanding its media engagement and support in the Pacific, Southeast Asia and South Asia through the Indo-Pacific Broadcasting Strategy.
The Strategy will:
- support the creation and sharing of compelling Australian content which engages audiences in the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia,
- enhance access to trusted news and current affairs,
- deepen understanding of modern, multicultural Australia, and
- elevate regional voices and support deeper people-to-people ties.
Reflecting the varied media sectors and Australia’s diverse relationships across the region, the Strategy takes a regional approach through partnerships and initiatives in the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, reflecting the varied media sectors and Australia’s diverse relationships across the region.
