We are seeking community and industry feedback on the draft grant opportunity guidelines for the $53 million Regional Connectivity Program to improve digital connectivity in regional and rural Australia.
The Government has released the draft guidelines for the Regional Connectivity Program, a $53 million grants program to improve digital connectivity in regional, rural and remote Australia. We are now inviting submissions from interested stakeholders.
The program forms part of the Government's $220 million Stronger Regional Digital Connectivity Package, announced in response to the 2018 Regional Telecommunications Review. It will use ‘place based’, targeted investment to provide economic opportunities and enable full participation in the digital economy for regional communities and businesses.
Submissions are encouraged from the telecommunications industry, all levels of government and other interested stakeholders. Consultation is open for three weeks until 13 March 2020 at 5:00pm.
