A new analysis by the Regional Australia Institute (RAI) highlights the many advantages of living in regional Australia.
The RAI's Good Life Guide provides a detailed comparison of liveability across Local Government Areas in Australia, showcasing key aspects such as median income, housing affordability, economic diversity, and proximity to natural attractions.
If you're considering a move to a regional area, the guide offers valuable insights into both metropolitan and regional areas, helping people envision what a 'good life' could look like outside of Australia's major cities.
The Good Life Guide shows that regional communities can provide a comfortable living with competitive incomes and more affordable housing compared to metropolitan areas. For example, while homes in Sydney and Melbourne can be expensive, regional towns like Tamworth and Greater Shepparton offer more affordable housing and competitive incomes.
The Good Life Guide was supported by the Australian Government through a Support for the Regional Australia Institute grant.
