Final chance to have your say on connectivity in your area

Let us know your experience through the Regional Telecommunications Review online consultation on 1 October.

If you live or work in a regional, rural or remote part of Australia, you can share your views of telecommunications services in your area and local ideas to improve it through the 2024 Regional Telecommunications Review.

This will be the last opportunity to have your say on your experiences with telecommunication in your area. The Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee will be holding 2 online consultations on 1 October.

The committee has been travelling across Australia hearing from communities and local business who have experienced connectivity issues. The committee has received valuable feedback, with a record-breaking number of submissions delivered through the national survey and public submissions, as well as face-to-face consultations across each state.

This feedback will assist with reducing the digital divide, and ensuring communities in regional, rural, and remote Australia reach their potential – including First Nations communities.

The Regional Telecommunications Review is held once every 3 years, with feedback from the public in previous Reviews, leading to policy initiatives and programs such as the Mobile Black Spot Program and the National Audit of Mobile Coverage.

A report on the findings and recommendations of the Review will be presented to the Australian Government in December 2024.
