Audited Maintenance Programs

Under Criterion 2, only audited maintenance programs accredited by the Transport Secretary will be recognised for the purposes of the fuel tax credit. The Department has prepared the requirements below which set out what elements a program needs to satisfy to obtain accreditation. It also sets out how to make an application for accreditation.

How many of the environmental criteria do I need to satisfy?

You only have to satisfy one of the 4 criteria. Vehicles manufactured on or after 1 January 1996 are eligible under Criterion 1. Criteria 2, 3 and 4 are options for vehicles of all ages.
