We have released our 2024 Census results which shows strong job satisfaction and performance against the broader APS.
The Census is an annual engagement survey that asks our staff views on areas such as wellbeing, innovation, communication, leadership and culture. The Census was open to all staff between May 6 and June 7 this year.
We had a high response rate, with 91% of our staff participating, meaning we have access to a comprehensive dataset that provides a reliable reflection of the attitudes and views of the majority of our staff.
Overall, our Census results held steady compared to 2023. We have seen strong improvements relating to job satisfaction, flexible working arrangements, and attachment to agency. We have also seen a reduction in workplace stress and burnout, and positive results around decision-making. Our major indices continue to rise or remain stable and above the broader APS.
Our results of the Census enable us to identify areas of strong performance, opportunities for focus, and help track how we are progressing on organisational strategies, initiatives and workplace culture.
Our results also show us areas of opportunity to strive for improvement. Our 2024 Action Plan outlines the actions we will collectively take to improve the workplace and the experience of our staff.
