Guidance note—Requesting priority assessment of an RVS application

This guidance note outlines the department's position for dealing with requests to prioritise an application submitted under the Road Vehicle Standards (RVS) legislation.

The department's standard practice is to work through applications in the order in which they are received.

The department rarely provides special priority to RVS applications. However, where unforeseen or extenuating circumstances exist, certain applications may be prioritised at the department's discretion.
