Road Deaths Australia is a monthly bulletin presenting the latest fatal road crash data as well as recent historical comparisons. It is produced using monthly data supplied by the eight states and territories.

This month's key figures:

• There were a total of 130 road deaths in October 2007.
  
  - this is a 7.4% increase over the October 2006 figure.
• There have been 1,321 road deaths in 2007 to the end of October.
  
  - this is a 1.1% increase over the same 10 month period in 2006.
