Emissions Reduction Plan 2024

In November 2023, the Australian Government released the Climate Action in Government Operations Strategy (CAIGO). The strategy outlines the overall approach [PDF] and required actions for Commonwealth entities to achieve net zero emissions by 2030 (APS Net Zero 2030).

To meet the APS Net Zero 2030 target, the department has developed an Emissions Reduction Plan that outlines specific priorities and actions to reduce emissions from the department's operations. The Emissions Reduction Plan includes a range of measures the department can implement to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.
