This report describes the results of an evaluation of minor traffic engineering projects carried out in South Australia and Western Australia during the period 1974 to 1980. The report finds that these minor traffic engineering improvements were highly cost effective in reducing accident numbers. It however, recommends that more attention in the choice of sites to the potential for accident reduction could increase further the cost effectiveness of this traffic engineering expenditure. The methodology used was described in an earlier Office of Road Safety Report No. Cr 8, ISBN 0642510822.
