Road Deaths Australia is a monthly bulletin presenting the latest fatal road crash data as well as recent historical comparisons. It is produced using monthly data supplied by the eight states and territories.
This month's key figures
- During the month of July 2008, 122 deaths occurred as a result of road crashes
- To the end of July 2008, 830 road crash deaths have occurred.
This is an 11.6 per cent decrease from the same 7 month period in 2007.
Notice: Due to an organisational restructure, Road Safety (and publication of Road Deaths Australia ) is now part of the Infrastructure and Surface Transport Policy Division.
