This retrospective study focussed on bicycle crashes which resulted in admission to hospitals in the Australian Capital Territory between July 1979 and June 1983. Hospital in-patient morbidity statistics were supplemented by information from a mailed questionnaire and police accident reports. The report includes analysis and discussion of results, conclusions and recommendations for countermeasures.
