National bodies

Austroads—the association of Australian and New Zealand road transport and traffic authorities. Austroads provides expert technical input to national policy development on road and road transport issues.

National Transport Commission—an inter-governmental agency charged with improving the productivity, safety and environmental performance of Australia's road, rail and intermodal transport system.

ITS Australia—an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation representing members of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) industry including government.

Transport Certification Australia (TCA)—a national government body responsible for providing assurance in the use of telematics and related intelligent technologies, to support the current and emerging needs of Australian governments.
