Additional Estimates And Variations - Portfolio Level

Additional appropriations are being sought for the Department of Transport and Regional Services, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and the National Capital Authority.

The Department of Transport and Regional Services is seeking additional appropriation of $4.8m1, comprising $23.0m for administered programmes, partially offset by a reduction of $18.3m for administered capital. The change in funding is mostly attributable to the movement of appropriations between years for administered programmes, revised programme estimates, and measures announced since the 2006-07 Budget. Details of variations are provided at Table 1.4: Variations to Appropriations.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority is seeking additional appropriation of $5.2m for departmental outputs. The change in funding is attributable to measures announced since the 2006-07 Budget and expected increases in fees and other revenues.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority is seeking additional appropriation of $2.4m, comprising $2.4m for departmental outputs and $0.03m for administered capital. The change in funding is mostly attributable to additional funding to provide an effective response to search and rescue incidents.

The National Capital Authority is seeking additional appropriation of $1.5m for administered capital. The change in funding is attributable to measures announced since the 2006-07 Budget.
