PART 4 FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

Part 4 of the report provides a general financial discussion, resource summary tables and a complete set of the Departments audited financial statements.

This structure of this report differs from that of previous Departmental annual reports. New requirements (issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet) allow the Department to report performance in 19992000 in a new fashion under the outcomes and outputs framework. The new format enables many of the issues placed in appendixes in previous reports to be moved to the body of the report to better reflect the corporate and whole-of-department activities undertaken.
